Hasbro has released the bio of the upcoming Transformers Dark of the Moon Mechtech Deluxe Darksteel and has also released official images of the figure.

While the designers specified that Darksteel is designed to be an homage to Beast Wars Quickstrike, the bio does not allude to this fact.

The figure is set for a Wave 5 October release along with Armor Topspin and Air Raid.

If you order now from Hasbro Toy Shop, the figure will ship on or around September 19, 2011.
